Carol Jean Monson, 69, of Clear Lake, died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2022, at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Mary’s Campus, in Rochester, Minn., with her family by her side.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 11, at Zion Lutheran Church, 112 N. 4th St., Clear Lake. Burial will be at the Clear Lake Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 310 1st Ave. N., Clear Lake.

Robert “FeFe” Eugene Hoeft, 76, of Ventura, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022, at Westview Care Center, in Britt.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 310 1st Ave. N., Clear Lake, with the Rev. Scott Kozisek officiating. It will be live-streamed and available for viewing on the Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel Facebook page. Burial will be at Ventura Cemetery, in Ventura.

Visitation will be held from 12:30-2 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.

Geraldine D. Hart, 88, of Mason City passed away Monday, Feb. 28, 2022, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, Mason City.

  A memorial visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m., Saturday, March 12, at Cataldo Funeral Chapel, 160 E. 4th St., Garner.  A time of sharing will follow the visitation. 

  Memorials may be directed to Hancock County Relay for Life.

Darwin Luvern Ruiter, 64, of Thornton, Iowa,  passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, Mason City.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, at Zion Lutheran Church, 112 N. 4th St., Clear Lake, with Al Berge officiating. 

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, March 12.
