On Friday, Jan. 28, at approximately 10:37 p.m., Cerro Gordo Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Eagle Avenue and 285th Street for a single vehicle collision.

Arrests made in Casey’s store robbery

Houston D. Conway, 23, and Alexa Cockrell, 25, both from Britt, Iowa, were arrested last week in connection to a burglary at the Clear Lake Casey’s, 202 US Highway 18 East.  Both were charged with Second Degree Robbery.

  The arrests were the result of an extensive investigation into the Sunday morning, Jan. 23, incident in Clear Lake.

A public hearing will be held Feb. 8 to receive input on a plan to redistrict Cerro Gordo County Board of Supervisor districts.  

The Supervisors met Tuesday, Jan. 25, to review a proposal which would change district boundaries.

Tyler LeFevre, who wrestles at 132 pounds, pinned Sean Heilskov of Hampton-Dumont-CAL in 2:58.  He also pinned his Lake Mills opponent at a home dual Thursday night.
