Kathy J. Petersburg

Kathy Jean Petersburg, age 60, passed away peacefully on Friday, Jan. 8, 2021 with family by her side at the MercyOne Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, in Mason City.

A memorial service will take place at a later date.

Burial of Kathy’s ashes will be in Beaver Creek Cemetery, rural Joice, Iowa, near her parents, Donald and Eunice Petersburg; infant brother, Jerry; and her sister-in-law, Lorna.

Jay A. Zirbel

Jay A. Zirbel passed away unexpectedly at Santa Rosa Kaiser Hospital, in Santa Rosa, Calf. on Nov. 21, at the age of 62 of cardiac arrest.

Jay was born in Mason City.  He grew up in Clear Lake and graduated from Clear Lake High School, class of 1977.  Soon after graduation he moved to Northern California.

Jay retired from the County of Sonoma in 2016. 

Jay A. Zirbel

Jay A. Zirbel passed away unexpectedly at Santa Rosa Kaiser Hospital, in Santa Rosa, Calf. on Nov. 21, at the age of 62 of cardiac arrest.

Jay was born in Mason City.  He grew up in Clear Lake and graduated from Clear Lake High School, class of 1977.  Soon after graduation he moved to Northern California.

Jay retired from the County of Sonoma in 2016. 

Reuben F. Gottfried, Jr.

Reuben Franklin “Frankie” Gottfried, Jr., 60, of Clear Lake, died Friday, Jan. 8, 2021, at Executive Cottage, at One Vision, in Clear Lake, surrounded by his friends and family. 

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2021, at One Vision, Clear Lake, with Pastor Scott Sokol and Dennis Ganz officiating . lnurnment will be be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021, at Riverside Cemetery, in Marshalltown, Iowa.
