A Clear Lake child care center has done the seemingly impossible — managed to stay open continuously during the pandemic with no COVID-19 cases.

Remember When 9-2-2020

(Above) New weight machine in 1970 - Just arrived in 1970 at the Clear Lake High School, was a new circuit training weight machine.  The new piece had 17 stations, allowing 30 boys to condition at one time.  The weights were adjustable and enclosed and permited a coordinated physical training session for one group every 10 minutes.

Pedestrian injured in hit and run

Police ask for public’s help to find truck

The Clear Lake Police Department is investigating a hit and run crash involving a pedestrian that occurred on North Shore Drive sometime after 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27.

The victim reported that he was walking eastbound along North Shore Drive at Woodlane Drive in Clear Lake when he was stuck in the shoulder and knocked down.
