Borseth named Dean of Students at Clear Creek

Clear Lake High School Band Director Brandon Borseth will be marching to Clear Creek Elementary School next school year.  Borseth, who came to CLHS in 2013, has been named a full-time dean of students at Clear Creek Elementary School.

Superintendent Doug Gee explained the district has been operating with a part-time dean of students at the elementary level for two years.  Deb Sharar was a .5 elementary dean and .5 high school guidance counselor.

User fees for the Clear Lake Ambulance Service will likely be going up, effective July 1.

The Clear Lake City Council unanimously passed the first of three readings of an ordinance Monday night which seeks to better offset the costs of the service.

Lions top Cardinals in hard-fought battle

The Clear Lake Lions opened up the season against the GHV  Cardinals Friday, April 5.   Like many times before, it was a well fought battle on both ends.

In the end, Clear Lake recorded a well-earned 2-0 victory.

The Clear Lake boys tennis team opened the season with a 7-2 loss at Mason City on Monday, April 1.

According to Coach Rich Peters, the first meet of the season was a learning experience.
