Clear Lake boys golf team has perfect record at 5-0

The Clear Lake boys golf team moved to 5-0 in the North Central Conference by topping Humboldt and Clarion-Goldfield at a triangular played Friday, April 27.

Clear Lake’s Tyler Eaton birdied two of the last three holes to earn medalist honors in a windy atmosphere.  Eaton was the only player to get below 40. He came into the club house with a score of 39.

CL girls fall in overtime to IF-A; top GHV in tourney

It’s been a busy last few days for the Clear Lake girls soccer team.  The Lions have opened the season with a 2-2 record.

GHV Tournament

Saturday, the Lions played in the Garner tournament.  In their first game, the Lions battled hard against Hudson, but fell short, 4-0.

Lions finishing in middle of the pack at area meets

The Clear Lake boys track team competed in Story City and Hampton last week, where they finished in the middle of the team standings.

Norsemen Relays

The Lions ran very well on a windy night in Story City and placed 10th in a field of 16 at the Norsemen Relays.

Highlights of the night included a win by Clear Lake’s distance medley relay team.  Speed Toyne, Luke Eggers, Justin Wright and Zach Lester crossed the finish line first in 3:55.72.
