2017 State Golf Champions

The 2017 Boys Golf Team was recognized at a recent basketball game. This group of golfers finished the season with a record of 67-7, were the NCC Dual Champions, Sectional champions, District champions and last May finished as the Class 2A State Champions. These golfers included front row (L-R): Thomas Storbeck, Alex Snelling, Tate Storbeck, Jackson Hamlin and Evan Krause. The team was coached by Eric Perry and Mike Oimoen.

The Clear Lake Dance team was recognized at a recent basketball game for winning two State Championships at this year’s State Dance competition.

Coed State Golf Champions

Thomas Storbeck and Emily Snelling were honored for winning the Class 1A State Coed Golf Championship last summer.  The Coed Meet is an alternate shot format.  The pair combined to shoot an even par 72 to win the meet by two strokes.

Baby, it’s cold outside

The final days of 2017 were among the very coldest, as temperatures dropped to -20 degrees and wind chills at -40.  The extreme cold has made “sun dogs” like these a common site.  Temperatures are expected to begin warming this week, with the 20s possible by Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.-Reporter photo by Chris Barragy.

4x4 Award Winners

These three 2017 Clear Lake High School graduates were recognized for being 4x4 Award winners.
