John Parkin Fieseler, 88, a resident of Melbourne, Fla., passed away peacefully on Nov. 10, 2016.

John was born in Iowa and raised in California and Iowa.  He graduated from Fort Dodge Iowa High School and from the University of Iowa with a Masters degree in labor and management.  He worked for Bell operating companies for nearly 40 years.

Harry Sameul Roenfanz, 91, of Ventura, died Sunday, Nov. 13, 2016, at Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, in Mason City, Iowa.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 301 S. Main St., Ventura, with the Rev. Jesse Burns officiating.  Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, in Mason City.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Clear Lake seniors Emily Snelling and Jessica Faber have received post-season volleyball honors.

Snelling was named to the All-North Central Conference Second Team.  She led the team in kills with 219, averaging 2.55 per set.   She was also the leader in serving, putting in 249 of 276 serve attempts for an efficiency rating of 90 percent.  She recorded 23 aces in 86 sets played.

On Nov. 10, Clear Lake police arrested Nicholas Dustin Horst, 36, of Clear Lake, on charges of Willful Injury, a Class C Felony, and Serious Injury by Vehicle, a Class D Felony.
