Clear Lake is gearing up for another huge summer event.  In just a few weeks hundreds of classic car owners will be showing off their restored rides in the annual C.L.A.S.S. (Clear Lake Auto Social Society’s) annual Summer Dance Cruise and Car Show Friday and Saturday, Aug. 2 and 3.

Lions pick up four wins

The Clear Lake baseball team provided plenty of fireworks during a busy holiday week of action.  The Lions posted four wins to move their record to 13-11 overall and 8-3 in the North Central Conference.

The Lions defeated Algona, 7-6, on Monday, July 1, thanks to a walk-off single.

The Clear Lake softball team finished off three straight days of games with a win over St. Ed’s Wednesday, July 3.  The Lions, who are 5-8 in the North Central Conference were at league-leading Humboldt (26-2, 12-1) Monday night to wrap up the regular season.  Tonight (Wednesday, July 10) they will host Garner-Hayfield-Ventura in the opening round of post-season play.
