Surf purchases nearby restaurant

The North Iowa Cultural Center & Museum and Surfside Hospitality have purchased the Surf District Rock ’n Roll Grill, located on the northeast corner of the Surf Ballroom parking lot, from KRM Real Estate and MNG Restaurant Corp.

Anne E. Goranson

Filled with her abiding faith and zest for life to the end, Anne Elizabeth Goranson, 98, of Clear Lake, passed on to her eternal home on Monday, Oct. 25, 2021. She died at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City from a heart attack.

A memorial service was held on Monday, Nov. 1, at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Mason City, with the Rev. Stephen Benitz officiating. Anne’s service will be posted to Anne’s tribute at www.colonialchapels.com. Inurnment will be at Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery in Mason City.
