Lions finish seventh at State

The Clear Lake boys golf team battled the elements and a tough field at the Class 3A State Golf Championship held at Elmwood Country Club in Marshalltown last week.  The Lions finished seventh in the field of 10 with a team score of (346-345) 693.

The Clear Lake baseball team opened 2021 season with two games last week.  The Lions earned a win over West Fork in their opener, the fell to Newman Catholic in their traditional early season tilt.

CL softball team goes 2-1 under new head coach

The Clear Lake softball team is off to a 2-1 start after wins against West Fork and Waverly-Shell Rock last week.

The team is under the direction of Shelly Zeitler this season.  Zeitler, who lives in Rockwell with her husband, Kevin, and son, Dawson, is the physical education teacher at West Fork.  She just wrapped up her 28th year in the school district, where she was also the head softball coach for 15 years
