Shirley A. Miller, 83, of Clear Lake, died Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020, at the Oakwood Care Center, in Clear Lake.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date at First Congregational Church, in Clear Lake.

In lieu of flowers and customary remembrances, memorials may be given in honor of Shirley to the North Iowa Humane Society, First Congregational Church, MercyOne North Iowa – Hospice, or the Welcome Center of Dauphin Island, Ala.

Douglas C. Smith, 78, of LeClaire, Iowa, passed away on Feb. 24, 2020, at Riverview Manor in Pleasant Valley, Iowa following a 34 year battle with Parkinsons Disease.

There will be a Celebration of Life in Clear Lake in the summer.  Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded, and inurnment will be in Clear Lake Cemetery.  

Warren Howard Woerner, 91, of Clear Lake, died Friday, Feb. 28, 2020, at Accura HealthCare, of Marshalltown, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 7, at First Presbyterian Church, 100 South Pierce Ave., of Mason City, with the Rev. Paul Collier officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.  Inurnment will be held Monday, March 9, at 10 a.m. at the Clear Lake Cemetery. 

Ruth Heuer Esbeck, 89, passed away peacefully March 2, 2020. 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 7, at 10 a.m., at the United Methodist Church, in Hawarden, Iowa, with lunch to follow.  

Ruth was born July 11, 1930, in Hawarden, to Louise “Berdie” and Orin Harris, of Akron.
