Frayne sisters place in top 10 at State Meet

The Frayne sisters represented Garner-Hayfield-Ventura with a strong showing at the Class 2A State Golf Tournament held on May 29-30 at Lake Panorama National Golf Course in Panora. Both Bailee and Carlee Frayne placed in the top 10, out of 75 golfers.

It was a tough week for the Garner-Hayfield-Ventura softball team, as they moved their record to 1-5 with three losses.

It was an uphill battle the entire game for the Cardinals on Wednesday, May 30, as they were shut-out by Forest City, 12-0.

A week of ups and downs for Cardinals

The Garner-Hayfield-Ventura baseball team had a week of ups and downs.  After falling to Forest City early in the week, they rebounded to claim an extra innings victory over Belmond-Klemme.  The team’s record now stands at 2-4.

Forest City 8, GHV 1

It was a battle from the beginning to the end for the Cardinals on Wednesday, May 30, when they fell to a talented Forest City team, 8-1.
