Lions ready to make some noise in post-season

The Clear Lake Lions suffered two losses to rated teams last week, but Coach Seth Thompson said his team is playing well enough to make some noise in the soon approaching post-season.

Tough end to the regular season for GHV softball team

The Garner-Hayfield-Ventura softball team dropped three games to end their regular season.  The team ended the season with a record of 4-22.    The team travels to Clear Lake tonight (July 5) for the opening round of Regionals.  Game time is 7 p.m.

The Garner-Hayfield-Ventura baseball team dropped a close contest, but followed that up with three wins to move their record to 16-11.

Eagle Grove 2, GHV 1

It was a battle of pitchers on Monday, June 26, when GHV traveled to Eagle Grove.  The low-scoring showdown ended with the Eagles on top, 2-1.
