  Jane Ann Andersen, 92, of Clear Lake, died Sunday, May 21, 2017, at her home in Clear Lake.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, May 25, 2017, at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, with Pastor Steve Bang officiating.  Burial was in Clear Lake Cemetery.

Family suggests memorial contributions to Hospice of North Iowa.

Cruise honors veterans

Veterans served our country, and the Lady of the Lake sought to serve them in return.

Wednesday, June 14 was the seventh annual Lady of the Lake Veterans’ Cruise. In honor of Flag Day, all area veterans were invited to enjoy the complimentary cruise.

Visitors come from across the country to visit Clear Lake, but often have trouble finding their way to the local landmarks, according to Clear Lake City Council members. However, a new improvement will guide visitors to their destination.
