  Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 25, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, in Garner, Iowa, with the Rev. Scott Kozisek officiating.  Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, in Mason City.

  Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church.

Phyllis L. Winkelman, 80, of Clear Lake, died Friday, May 20, 2016 from surgery complications at Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa in Mason City.

  Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25, at St. John’s Lutheran Church east of Garner, Iowa, with the Rev. Carl Hedberg officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

  Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church.

  Memorials may be directed to the St. John’s Lutheran Church Lift Fund.

Clear Lake girls shutout GHV

The Clear Lake girls soccer team had a .500 week.  The Lions topped Garner-Hayfield-Ventura and dropped a match with Aplington-Parkersburg.

After a slow start, the Lions stepped up their attack and earned a 5-0 victory at GHV Tuesday, May 10.
