CL softball team battles tough competition

The Clear Lake girls softball team battled some of the best teams in the conference and area last week.  The Lions dropped three games before winning their opening contest at an Emmetsburg Tournament Saturday.  They were denied a victory in the second game by weather-related scoring rules. The Lions ended the week with a 3-7 overall record.

CL softball team battles tough competition

The Clear Lake girls softball team battled some of the best teams in the conference and area last week.  The Lions dropped three games before winning their opening contest at an Emmetsburg Tournament Saturday.  They were denied a victory in the second game by weather-related scoring rules. Cardinal baseball team rolls to victories

It was good week for the Garner-Hayfield-Ventura baseball team, as they rolled to three more wins.

GHV 4, Osage 3 (8)

The lead was up for grabs many time when GHV traveled to Osage on Tuesday, June 7.  The two teams passed the lead back and forth before the Cardinals finished off the game with a 4-3 victory in eight innings.

The final score that sealed the deal was an RBI single by Colton Schroeder that scored Ryan Meyers.
