Shirley Marie Palmer, 77, of Clear Lake, died Saturday, May 28, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa, in Mason City.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2016, at Clear Lake United Methodist Church, 508 2nd Ave. N., Clear Lake, with the Rev. Dr. Jacqueline Thompson officiating.  Per Shirley’s wishes, her body will be cremated following services, and a private inurnment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, at a later date.

Pamela Ann Foss, 63, of Goodell, Iowa, was called home on Thursday, May 26, 2016, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City, Iowa, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer.

A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at Galilean Lutheran Church, in Clear Lake, with the Rev. Scot McCluskey officiating.  Family suggests memorials to Pamela Ann Foss Memorial Fund.

Door to door inspections of properties begins

County embarks on program to reappraise all properties

Mason City Assessor Dana Naumann and County Assessor John Boedeker have announced that door-to-door inspections of all residential properties in Mason City and Cerro Gordo County will begin approximately June 1, 2016.

A reappraisal program was approved by the Conference Boards in 2013.
