A win and a loss for CL boys

The Clear Lake boys treated the home crowd to a victory last week, but fell on the road, putting them at 10-9 overall and 8-5 in the North Central Conference.

The Lions will be looking to show Algona (15-3) what they’re really made of when the Bulldogs come to town Thursday night, Feb. 11.  According to Coach Jeremy Ainley, his team simply didn’t play well at Algona Feb. 1, and fell 65-48.

The GHV girls moved their record to 5-14 overall last week.  They dropped three games, including one in overtime, however one bright spot was a win over Nashua Plainfield.

Remember When 2-10-2016

(Above) Snowmobile Rally, 1966 - The flag fell to start one of the several snowmobile races held in January 1966 in front of the Sea Wall.  This was the first annual Snowmobile Rally.  Entries came from Clear Lake and several other communities around the state.  The Rally was sponsored by the Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce and several Clear Lake residents.

Remember When 2-10-2016

Monday Blizzard forces I-35 closure

For the second time in as many weeks, Clear Lake found itself in the midst of a blizzard.
