The Clear Lake City Council will present a resolution of necessity on the 1965 street program.  A public hearing on the $80,000 program will be scheduled at a later date.

The steeple of the new Clear Lake Zion Lutheran Church building was hoisted into place by Andrews Concrete Products Inc.  It took a 30-ton crane.  The steeple weighs nearly two tons.

The mercury hit 90 degrees on July 4th.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Petersen have purchased the lunch room adjoining the Lake Theatre from Jim Anderson.  Mrs. Petersen plans to operate it and she will continue to work at the Standard Service Station.

The city has purchased 15,000 gallons of oil to be used on city streets.

Cerro Gordo County population is 43,812 according to the census.  It was 38,476 in 1930.
