Lions move record to 9-6

The Clear Lake Lions will be looking to win a rubber match against Humboldt when District play opens at 7 p.m. Friday night in Humboldt.  Clear Lake has lost two close contests against the Wildcats, including a 3-0 decision last week.  In their first meeting, a walk-off in the bottom of the seventh gave Humboldt a 4-3 victory.

The Clear Lake softball team ended its week on the upswing, as they added two non-conference wins to their record.  The team is 7-8 overall and 3-4 in the North Central Conference.

CL School District begins to consider options for start

What will learning look like for Clear Lake students this fall?  That’s what Superintendent Doug Gee and School Board members will begin considering this week.

“We will be discussing different Return to Learning plans — whether we were totally online, some kind of hybrid or totally back in school,” said Gee in advance of the Board’s Tuesday night, July 14, meeting.
