Judy Hilgendorf, an English teacher and creative writing enthusiast, left the task of sharing her life story to those who loved her most, her family.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Dec. 17, 2018, at First Congregational Church, Clear Lake, with Pastor Harlan Seri officiating.  Burial was at Clear Lake Cemetery, in Clear Lake.  Those attending the funeral were asked to wear a touch of gold sparkle to celebrate Judy.

Lester Albert Meske, 89, of Clear Lake, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018, at Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, in Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2018, at Zion Lutheran Church, 112 N. 4th St., Clear Lake, with the Rev. Dr. Pat Hall officiating.  Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, in Mason City.  Military honors will be provided by the Clear Lake VFW Post 4868 Honor Guard.

Carol Spilman, age 62, passed away Dec. 15, in Los Angeles, Calif.

Carol graduated from Ventura High School and went on to college at the University of Iowa and Southern Cal. After college she worked as an actress in both TV and on stage productions.

Carol loved to travel, appear on game shows and she dearly loved her pets.

John Robert Miller, 86, of Clear Lake, died after a brief illness at the Oakwood Care Center on Dec. 12, 2018.

A Memorial Prayer Service will be held at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018, at the United Methodist Church, in Clear Lake. Visitation will be held at the church prior to the service, starting at 3 p.m.  A private interment will be held at a later date.
