Orville H. Muth, 88, of Story City, Iowa, and formerly of Clear Lake, died Monday, Sept. 25, 2017, at Bethany Manor, in Story City.

Funeral Services were held on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, Mason City, Iowa, with Rev. Kathleen R. Moore of the First United Methodist Church officiating.  A private family inurnment took place at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Raymond Harold Cooper, 89, of Clear Lake, died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, at Concord Care Center, in Garner, Iowa.

A family funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017, at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. 4th St., Clear Lake, with Dennis Ganz officiating.  Burial will be in Mount Vernon Township Cemetery, south of Clear Lake.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

The Clear Lake Lions pushed Humboldt to four games, but dropped a North Central Conference tilt 3-1 on Thursday, Sept. 21.

“We came out a little flat in set one, but rebounded very well in set two for the win,” said Coach Richie Ellis.
