Mary Lin Kolb

Mary Lin Kolb, 68, of Mason City, Iowa, formerly of Clear Lake for 37 years, died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017, at the Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, at Zion Lutheran Church, Clear Lake, with the Rev. Dr. Pat Hall and Pastor Art Zewert officiating.  Interment was in Memorial Park Cemetery, in Mason City.

  The family request memorials to the Mary Lin Kolb Memorial Fund.

Timothy A. Entner

Timothy Alan Entner, 57, of Clear Lake, died Friday, Oct. 27, 2017, at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Mary’s Campus, in Rochester, Minn.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 10, 2017, at Harvest Bible Church, 2200 N. 24th St., Clear Lake, with Pastor John Tank officiating.  Inurnment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, in Mason City.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017, at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. 4th St., Clear Lake.

Electrical problem suspected as cause of house fire

A Clear Lake home sustained an estimated $25,000 damage as the result of a fire Monday afternoon.

The Clear Lake Fire Department was dispatched to 3 East Gate Court for a reported structure fire, at approximately 3:38 p.m. Oct. 30.
