The Clear Lake boys basketball team sits at 7-7, 5-3 after splitting a pair of North Central Conference games last week.  The Lions earned a victory over Hampton-Dumont Tuesday, but were handled by St. Ed’s on Friday.

GHV boys get win over No. 1 West Hancock

The Garner-Hayfield-Ventura boys proved they deserve to be at the top of the Top of Iowa Conference with two big wins last week.  The Cards moved their record to 10-2, 12-3.

GHV girls pick up win over B-K; Fall to rival West Hancock

Things are looking up for the Garner-Hayfield-Ventura girls, as they picked up a win last week to move their record in the right direction, 3-9, 4-11.

A never-give-up attitude helped the GHV girls pick up a one-point road win on Friday, Jan. 22, at Belmond-Klemme (2-10, 3-12).

Things are looking up for the Garner-Hayfield-Ventura girls, as they picked up a win last week to move their record in the right direction, 3-9, 4-11.

Mary Ellen  Charest, 85, Clear Lake, died Mon., January 25, 2016, at Oakwood Care Center, Clear Lake.  A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Fri., Jan. 29 at the Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake.  Family will greet friends one hour before the service.
