It was a week of challenging matchups for the Clear Lake boys.  First, the Lions hosted county rival Mason City.  Then it was time for the defending North Central Conference champs to play on the road at Humboldt.

McKesson employees help The Giving Tree

     The Giving Tree was strongly supported this year by employees from McKesson’s Clear Lake facility.  Fifty-one ornament requests were filled by those who wanted to offer their support to local families.  Pictured delivering the gifts to the Mirror-Reporter office are Rochelle Anderson (kneeling), Bradley Hanson and Deborah Dion.  All of the ornaments were selected from the Giving Tree and gifts are currentl

MercyOne expects Moderna vaccine next week

Officials with Mercy One have announced they expect to receive a shipment of a coronavirus vaccine next week.

A statement from the hospital read: “With the vaccine now only days away, we are turning a corner in this global health crisis. MercyOne is confident in the safety and efficacy of the vaccine with the FDA approval. We strongly encourage everyone ages 16 and older to be vaccinated.”
