Carrie Glanville

Carrie Glanville, 60, of Clear Lake, passed away Monday, Nov. 19, 2018

Per Carrie’s wishes her body has been cremated, and a private family service is planned.

Carrie was born Nov. 8, 1958, in Des Moines, to Janet Albright and George Clark.  She attended and graduated from Lincoln High School and was married to Ron Glanville 21 years before he passed away two years ago.

Albert E. Tapps

Albert Edward Tapps, 97, passed away peacefully at home Nov. 13, 2018.

Al was born March 2, 1921 in Rockwell City, Iowa, to Otto and Minnie (Kleemeier) Tapps. He graduated from Britt High School, class of 1939.

After farming in the Britt area, he entered the military in 1942, serving as Gunnery Sgt. Instructor training on B-17’s. After the war he attended Hamilton Business School.

Albert E. Tapps

Marsha J. Lilly Cory, 64, of Clear Lake, passed away on Nov. 26, 2018, at Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, in Mason City.

A memorial service will be held at the Surf Ballroom, 460 N. Shore Dr., Clear Lake, on Dec. 8, at 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the North Iowa Humane Society, the Clear Lake Arts Center, or the youth program at Rhythm Church.

Marsha J. Lilly Cory, 64, of Clear Lake, passed away on Nov. 26, 2018, at Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, in Mason City.

A memorial service will be held at the Surf Ballroom, 460 N. Shore Dr., Clear Lake, on Dec. 8, at 10:30 a.m.

The Clear Lake boys basketball team faced Mason City Newman Catholic in a “Hall of Pride Scrimmage on Monday night, Nov. 19, in the Clear Lake gym.  The Lions dominated in their first outing of the season, defeating the Knights, 71-48.  Pictured is Drew Enke bringing the ball down the floor.  The Lions kick off the regular season on Tuesday, Nov.

Richard Nickerson

Richard “Dick” Irving Nickerson, 91, of Clear Lake, passed away Sunday, Nov. 18, 2018, at the Rockwell Community Nursing Home.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at the Clear Lake United Methodist Church, Clear Lake, with the Rev.  James Louk officiating.

  Burial will be held in the Clear Lake Cemetery.  Military Honors will be presented by the Clear Lake VFW, Post 4868.

Richard Nickerson

Richard “Dick” Irving Nickerson, 91, of Clear Lake, passed away Sunday, Nov. 18, 2018, at the Rockwell Community Nursing Home.

Iris Deckard

Iris Mae Myers-Deckard, 59, of Clear Lake, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2018, at Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, in Mason City.

A Celebration of Life will be was held Tuesday, Nov. 20, at Zion Lutheran Church, Clear Lake, with the Rev. Dr. Pat Hall officiating.

  Inurnment was at Memorial Park Cemetery, in Mason City.
