Woman falls through ice on Fieldstone Pond

The Clear Lake Fire Department was dispatched to 1622 N. 24th Street, Clear Lake, at approximately 3:36 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17, for a female subject that had fallen through the ice and was submerged in the waters of the Fieldstone Pond.

Kelsey Boehnke, 28, of Clear Lake, had gone out onto the ice to try and rescue her dog that had wondered onto the ice, when she fell through becoming submerged in the water.

Like many high school graduates, Lucas Kirchhoff was faced with deciding what path to take following his 2016 graduation from Clear Lake High School.

From his first trip to Iquitos, Peru, in 2015, Lucas knew that the mission field is where he was called to be.

Looking to spread a little Christmas cheer this year to a community family?  The annual Giving Tree is the perfect opportunity to lend a helping hand to local families.  The Giving Tree is now on display at the Clear Lake Mirror-Reporter office art 12 N. 4th St.

CL dancers compete at Iowa State Dance Team State Solo Competition

Clear Lake High School Dance Team members Bella Clabaugh and Emily LeFevre, both sophomores, competed in the Iowa State Dance Team Association’s State Solo Competition on Saturday Nov. 3, in Newton. They competed in Class IV in a field of 80 dancers.
