Editor’s Note: Last week we began a two-part series on the new K&B Emporium, located at 8 N. 4th St..  This week, we will revisit the beautiful building and learn more about what it has to offer.

Vicki Sukup, owner of K&B Emporium, said God was the master contractor on this project.

Visitors come from across the country to visit Clear Lake, but often have trouble finding their way to the local landmarks, according to Clear Lake City Council members. However, a new improvement will guide visitors to their destination.

Tough week for the CL Lions

(Above) Jackson Hamlin pitched six innings against Algona.  He gave up nine hits, five runs and struck out nine batters.

After dropping four games this week, the Clear Lake baseball team fell out of the rankings in class 2A. Last week the team ranked sixth in Class 2A. The team moved its record to 9-9 overall and 5-2 in the conference.

The Garner-Hayfield-Ventura baseball team opened strong, but couldn’t maintain the wins, dropping three games at the end of the week.  The Cardinal’s record now stands at 10-7.

Clear Lake girls begin to roll

The Clear Lake Lions started their fourth week off with a fall, but stood strong for the rest of the week, collecting four wins.
