Clear Lake girls compete at Hannover Relays

The Clear Lake girls track team was at Algona Tuesday, April 11, to compete in the Hannover Relays.  Host Algona ran away with the team title with 97.50 points.  Humboldt was the runner-up with 139.  The remainder of the field included: Manson NW Webster (92), Lake Mills (88.50), Bishop Garrigan (88), Webster City (73) and Clear Lake (48).

Lions top Cardinals in overtime

The Clear Lake girls started the season with an exciting win Thursday, April 6. The Lions topped visiting Garner-Hayfield-Ventura 4-3 in overtime.  Mallory Leisure scored the winning goal for the Lions about five-minutes into the overtime period.

Two days - two very different results.

The Clear Lake boys tennis team started the season with back-to-back meetings April 6 and 7.  On Thursday the Lions hosted Iowa Falls-Alden and won, 9-0.  The following day they were at Mason City and fell by the same score.

Humboldt mounted a late comeback and snatched a 4-3 victory over the Clear Lake boys soccer team in their season opener Friday, April 7.

CL boys track off to a good start

The young Clear Lake boys track team got off to a good start this past week at the Umstead Relays in Eagle Grove and the Cowboy Relays in Clarion.  At Eagle Grove, the Lions placed fifth out of eight teams and at Clarion they got third out of the six teams in their class.

“We will keep working on lineup changes and tweaks and we really feel kids are stepping up and performing.  We want to just keep getting better as we progress through the schedule,” said Coach A.J. Feuerbach.

CL boys track off to a good start

The young Clear Lake boys track team got off to a good start this past week at the Umstead Relays in Eagle Grove and the Cowboy Relays in Clarion.  At Eagle Grove, the Lions placed fifth out of eight teams and at Clarion they got third out of the six teams in their class.
