Clarion-Goldfield-Dows

Despite finishing at the bottom of the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows meet held on Tuesday, April 11, the Garner-Hayfield-Ventura girls had a lot to celebrate.  They recorded many personal best times and finished in the top on some events.  Pocahontas Area won the meet with 365 points, followed by Iowa Falls-Alden with 277 points.  GHV finished with 181 points.

Gerry Lenguadoro Cadets Relays

The Garner-Hayfield-Ventura boys track team has strong long distance runners, but this week a sprinter and field event athlete stepped up when the Cardinals competed at the Gerry Lenguardoro Cadet Relays in Iowa Falls on Tuesday, April 11.

CL girls fall to MC

It’s been a slow start for the Clear Lake girls golf team.  The Lions have played in just one meet to date, but it was a good starting point for the Lions, according to Coach Adam Brinkman.

Mason City hosted the Lions at the Mason City Country Club Thursday, April 13.  The Mohawks picked up the win, 200-212.

Clear Lake’s Mac Adams fires over a serve at a home meet against Hampton-Dumont on Thursday, April 13.  Adams won his singles match, 6-0, 6-0.  He paired with Jacob Peterson and won the doubles match as well, 6-1, 6-0.  -Reporter photo by Chris Barragy
